Hi！Have you heard about the “Sakai Municipal Big Bang” in Osaka, Japan? It’s an amazing indoor playground that’s perfect for family fun. Imagine a spaceship, and that’s what this place is. In April 2023, it will be transformed into “Sakai Municipal Big Bang” with exciting new features.
When you visit Big Bang, you’ll discover a universe of entertainment. The main building is designed to look like a spaceship that has just landed, and there’s a giant 53-meter play tower. It’s not just for kids; everyone can have a good time. The immensely popular Play Tower is a giant jungle gym where you can play to your heart’s content. And for the little ones, there’s a Baby Play Area and a Picture Book Area, so there’s something for everyone, no matter what your interests or age.
Big Bang is also incredibly accessible, with features like ramps, step-free access, tactile maps and Braille signage to ensure that everyone, including those in wheelchairs, can enjoy the facilities. Plus, it’s an indoor playground, so you can have a great time no matter what the weather is like outside.
One of the highlights is the Machikane Crocodile Adventure. It’s a giant play area inspired by the crocodiles that once lived in Osaka Bay. It’s filled with tunnels, hidden holes and other crocodile-themed adventures. There’s even a crocodile skeleton area with slides, seesaws, and trampolines for even more fun. When you get hungry, there’s a bright and welcoming rest area where you can enjoy a meal or even bring your own lunch.
But the real showstopper is the giant jungle gym that proudly rises 53 meters into the air. Divided into eight levels, from the 4th to the 8th floor, this indoor playground offers 17 vertical play elements. It’s an adrenaline rush for all ages!
Finally, don’t miss the lifelike replica of an Osaka neighborhood from the Showa era (1950s to 1980s). You can explore old houses and shops, and even play with vintage toys. There’s also the “Karakuri Circus” area, where you can interact with strange and enchanting toys and discover the secrets behind their ingenious mechanisms.
